Foodie festival features fungus and foragers in upcoming event series, branch of Traverse City Food and Wine
This May, Bel Lago North Farm becomes the setting for one of the season's most unique culinary experiences. As part of Traverse City Food & Wine’s Forest to Fork: A Springtime Gathering (May 14–17), we're hosting a Vineyard Forager's Hike, a guided exploration of the natural landscape surrounding our estate, led by licensed foraging expert Kelly Harris.
With 20 years of expertise, Kelly guides guests through identifying edible mushrooms, wild plants, and native flora, finishing with wine and seasonally foraged bites that bring the walk full circle.
In her words:
"My tour is to try to make you not afraid of the woods — to help you touch, smell, and even taste things you wouldn't do on your own."
Spring in Northern Michigan is fleeting and extraordinary. This is your invitation to experience it from the ground up.
