FOOD & WINE PAIRING EVENT

 

At Bel Lago, we firmly believe that every wine can be transformed into an extraordinary experience when paired with a memorable meal. That's why we were thrilled to host our exclusive Food and Wine Pairing Dinner featuring NJ's Grocery—an evening dedicated to culinary exploration and sensory delight.

The event commenced with an air of anticipation as guests eagerly arrived, ready to embark on a journey of gastronomic discovery. Upon stepping into our enchanting venue, they were greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of our 2021 Auxerrois Sparkling Brut, setting the stage for the evening ahead.

Our meticulously curated three-course dinner was designed to tantalize the taste buds, with each dish thoughtfully paired with exceptional wines curated by our esteemed head winemaker, Blake Lougheed. From the first sip to the last bite, guests were treated to a symphony of flavors, harmonizing perfectly to create an unforgettable dining experience.

To begin, guests enjoyed a delightful charcuterie paired with our 2021 Auxerrois Sparkling Brut, followed by Rivalee—a perfect complement to Tikka Marsala and rice. The culinary journey continued with Tandoori Chicken, expertly paired with our 2018 Auxerrois Reserve. Next up, guests savored Samosa with Chutney, paired with our 2020 Semi-Dry Riesling. Finally, the evening concluded with a decadent flourless chocolate cake, enhanced by our 2018 Blaufränkisch.

What truly distinguished this evening was the surprise element—a guided cellar tour led by Blake himself. Guests were thrilled to join Blake as he shared insights into the flavors and origins of each wine selection, unveiling the secrets behind the perfect pairing. It was a rare opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the winemaking process.

Amidst the indulgent food and wine, guests were serenaded by the soulful melodies of our special musical guest, Charlie Arnett. His captivating performance added an extra layer of magic to the evening, elevating the dining experience to new heights.

As the night drew to a close, guests departed with hearts full of joy and palates satisfied. It was truly a night to remember—a celebration of the art of food, wine, and music in a setting that embodied the essence of Bel Lago.
