CHARDONNAY 2018

Notes from the Winemakers

Crisp and clean with notes of warm, sweet oak, Bel Lago’s 2018 Chardonnay is a luscious wine with plenty of complexity to explore. Barrel fermented and sur-lie aged for 24 months, this Chardonnay has whiffs of granny smith apple pie and bright citrus fruit on the nose. Jackfruit, pineapple and lemon roll over the palate first, while the French oak expresses itself in notes of hazelnut, brioche and vanilla from the mid-palate through the finish. Soft, silky tannins and creamy lees provide a rich body to compliment the bright fruit and toasty oak of this vintage.

Production Notes

Prior to pressing our Chardonnay, the grapes sit on their skins for an hour or two to increase the wine’s color and tannin profile. It is then barrel-fermented and aged on the lees for two years. We stir the lees at least once a month to contribute more flavor, aroma and texture. All of our Chardonnay also completes malolactic fermentation.

Notes from the Winemakers

Delicate and bursting with fruit, this premium blend of red wine effortlessly fuses notes of ripe berries and oak. Bright aromatics of raspberry and plum extend onto the palate and are supported by a rich structure, leading to a complex finish. Built on a Cabernet Franc base, Solia is blended with wine aged in barrels for up to three years, allowing plenty of time to condense and fully integrate flavors.

40% Cabernet Franc, 25% Blaufränkisch, 15% Merlot, and 20% Mixed Red Blend

Production Notes

Each wine included in this blend is fermented on the skins for several weeks before pressing. All of the wines have completed malolactic fermentation and are aged in French and American oak barrels for at least 15 months and as long as several years.

Crafted from our ripest fruit of each vintage, this Pinot Grigio is bursting with bright fruit flavors. Aromas of stone fruit and lemon zest are complimented by robust minerality and ample acidity.

100% Pinot Grigio

Production Notes

One hundred percent of our Pinot Grigio is stainless‐steelfermented and aged. It is bottled within a few months of finishing fermentation in order to preserve its bright fruit and crisp freshness.
